FRAP

FRAP
The Frente Revolucionario Antifascista y Patriota (Revolutionary, Anti-fascist and Patriotic Front) was a left-wing terrorist organization which emerged from obscurity around 1973. It was responsible for the murders of various members of the security forces, but was largely dismantled by a series of arrests in 1974. It was revealed long afterwards that it had been heavily infiltrated by the police, and is an example of the sinister overlap which occurred in the 1970s between left-wing groups and elements in the security forces acting as agents provocateurs in order to justify repressive measures.
